Coleen Groen is a Psychotherapist and Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker that has helped women recover from trauma for the past 20 years. She has worked with individuals to help them navigate their journey in the aftermath of trauma and foster a sense of resiliency. She works with female teens, women, and couples. 

 

She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, the Gottman Method, and Brene Brown’s work.  Other specializations include anxiety, depression, pregnancy, prenatal, postpartum, infertility, parenting, eating disorders, relationship issues, life transitions, grief, and adoption. Coleen is compassion-focused, culturally aware, and works to build empowerment.

 

Additionally, she enjoys working with other health care providers on compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma. Her passion for her work comes from her journey and the support she has received along the way. Coleen is married and a mother of four to her daughter and triplet boys who she adores.
