Kayte LaBore, PhD, LP

Kayte LaBore is a licensed psychologist who is seeing clients via telehealth. She believes that the underpinning of great therapy is the relationship. Therapy provides the space to build a safe relationship to examine one's own experiences and identity. To help build a collaborative and personalized plan, Kayte utilizes a wide range of techniques and theories, pulling from Person Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Interpersonal Processing Therapy, Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy, and Emotion Focused Therapy. She has completed additional training in perinatal mental health and is currently on the path to obtain certification as a perinatal mental health specialist.

Some of her primary clinical interests include working with anxiety, depression, expectant parents, new parents, and parents navigating fertility difficulties. Kayte also has a passion for working with parent athletes on the complicated balance of the pursuit of sport and parenthood.

Kayte received her PhD in Counseling Psychology from University of North Dakota in 2017 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship focused on neuroimaging research at the Salt Lake City Department of Veterans Affairs and University of Utah. She has worked as a researcher and academic throughout her career, teaching science foundation courses at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Some of her research has included neuroimaging and neuropsychological research on anxiety and PTSD, cross cultural mental health, women’s mental health and wellbeing, and inclusivity practice in sport.
