Clinical Counselor

Sara Hart Schultz, MS, LPCC is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who specializes in the treatment of PTSD/trauma and adjustment disorders, as well as emotional/behavioral/cognitive dysregulation in teens and adults. She has ten years of experience working with individuals, groups, families and couples. She is currently training in Somatic Experiencing. 

 

Sara's orientation is person-centered, collaborative, and strengths-focused. She uses an integrative approach and, depending on the needs of the individual, will draw from various theories/interventions, including DBT, ecotherapy, trauma-focused, narrative, motivational interviewing, existential, exposure, somatic, and faith-based. She believes in the importance of building a solid therapeutic relationship based on empathy, trust, understanding, and nonjudgment. She is there to guide, coach, support, and empower you and to teach skills that you may need to overcome challenges, hardships, stressors, or past trauma. 

 

In her free time, Sara is an avid hiker, explorer, and rock hound, passionate about the outdoors. She also likes to read, bake, travel, and spend time with friends and family. You can often find her having fun with her spouse, four step-kids, and two fur-babies.
